THE VEGETABLE GARDEN
Already in the Netherlands we found out that we are actually passionate vegetable gardeners. We had a very small vegetable garden and loved working very early in the morning in the garden. Sowing and planting expectantly. To lose yourself completely in weeding, not thinking about anything anymore. Or the pleasure of harvesting and processing the harvest. And of course the food and enjoying your own vegetables!
As weeds of all shapes and sizes were proliferating in the plant paradise we were aiming for, we started with a small vegetable garden, and also covered a large area with root cloth for two years. It works beautifully and requires almost no effort.
In the meantime, the garden has grown considerably and we have, in addition to our sowing and cutting greenhouse, also built a tunnel greenhouse. Here we grow tomatoes, peppers, melons, long beans and cucumbers. The garden provides us with courgettes, all kinds of beans, cabbage and lettuce, beetroot, pumpkins, corn, radishes, spinach, potatoes and green herbs. And a variety of cut flowers!
